Online Continuing Education

Courses are multimedia presentations consisting of a recorded live lecture and a visual presentation that advances in syncronization with the audio. Provided in streaming format, these presentations are much like a live lecture. Some courses offer COPE-approved credit (a multiple-choice test at the conclusion of the course is required to receive credit).

Continuing Education for Credit

Most state boards will only accept online continuing education that has a test at the conclusion to prove comprehension. Some courses offered on SECOInternational.com have tests; some give the option to test; some do not have a test. Please read your registration carefully to make sure you receive a test if you want one.

Some courses offered online are COPE approved; be sure to check for a COPE number for these courses. Courses that have applied for COPE credit have "Pending" instead of a COPE number. SECO International recommends only taking COPE approved education if you require state license credit.

Finally, some state boards have restrictions or conditions about accepting online continuing education. Please be thoroughly familiar with your state or board requirements before taking any online education.
