Beyond the educational tracks above, don't miss several special opportunities to take your skills to the next level. SECO's Scholar Track is a two-year education program that concludes in 2007. Graduates of this track must participate in every course offered in 2006 and 2007. Graduates will receive an attractive engraved plaque presented at SECO 2008 and the prestige of being a SECO Scholar graduate.
Hey, Doc, Can I Pick Your Brain? Breakfast With the Experts
This exclusive series offers optometrists the chance to participate in early morning breakfast courses and ask noted experts the questions you've always pondered. Topics include cornea care, visual fields, lumps and bumps, and ocular trauma.
Joint Education for ODs and AOPs
Some education is important for the entire office-optometrists and staff-
to experience. SECO accommodates these occasions with joint education
offerings; courses that may exist primarily in either the OD or AOP program, but
are offered to both education programs. These courses offer the unique chance
for the entire staff to share valuable learning opportunities. Check the schedule
for identified courses.
SECO Scholar Program Internet Education
The SECO Scholar Track is a two-year education program focused on Ocular Disease. Participants of the SECO Scholar Program will be challenged over the two year period with courses related to diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. Included with the track will be basic reviews to help participants step up to meet the challenge. Participants must attend 8 education courses in total during SECO 2006 and SECO 2007, six courses are live lecture format, 2 courses are Internet education courses. Graduates of this track must participate in every SECO Scholar track course including the on-line courses. SECO Scholar Graduates will receive an attractive engraved plaque presented at SECO 2008 and the prestige of being a SECO Scholar graduate.
