This coming February, our lineup of special sessions, panels, tracks, and workshops will continue our tradition of presenting state-of-the-art information in a timely and enjoyable manner. Part of the SECO Scholar Track, "Tools of the Trade" is a multimedia presentation available exclusively for 2006 registrants. Sit back in the comfort of you home or business and view this presentation on your computer - Take the multiple-choice test at the conclusion for credit!

This course will review the currently available options for examining the ocular structures. Direct ophthalmoscopy, slit-lamp funduscopy, BIO and gonioscopy lenses will be covered. Additionally, ophthalmic dyes, dry eye tests and surgical instruments commonly used in optometric practice will be discussed. The pros and cons of each item will be analyzed in detail so that the practitioner can decide which options are best suited for their practice.
