New for SECO 2009, the First Annual AOP General Session, Course 772 — "Best Practices for Staff in the Ophthalmic Office." Join SECO and a panel of paraoptometric association leaders for an interactive session for all Allied Ophthalmic Professionals in the Sidney Marcus Auditorium on Friday, March 6, from 3:15 - 5:15 PM. The panel will share strategies for patient interaction issues, office dress code, salary and advancement issues and professional certifications.
The panel will consist of Ms. Diane Ladd, founder and past president of the Alabama Paraoptometric Association, and their 2008 Paraoptometric of the Year; Ms. Sue McAteer, Chair of the New Jersey Paraoptometric section; Ms. Beverly Roberts, President of the Mississippi Paraoptometric Association and recently named the AOA's 2008 Paraoptometric of the year; Ms. Donna Suter, president of Suter Consulting Group; and Ms. Kellie Thomas, Virginia’s 2004 Paraoptometric of the Year.
Immediately following the course, SECO International invites all AOP attendees to attend the First Annual Allied Ophthalmic Professionals Networking Reception at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center from 5:15 - 7:00 PM.
