Everyone in attendance made a splash at SECO 2006! If you were there then you know what fun was had at the many networking events such as the Alumni Receptions and Student Party on Friday night and most especially the "Make a Splash!" party at the new Georgia Aquarium!

Hundreds of attendees enjoyed meeting friends and colleagues (old & new) during the many corporate and alumni receptions held on Friday night at the Omni. These receptions offered an excellent venue for re-connecting with school friends as well as allowing a place for new graduates to network with past graduates in order to learn from their experience.

A lively Student Party was also held Friday night where over 100 students & attendees networked and partied - enjoying the ever-popular chocolate fountain and dancing to the sounds of the DJ.

Last but not least, the big finale at SECO 2006 was the "Make A Splash!" party held at the brand new Georgia Aquarium. The congress was abuzz with the excitement of this spectacular party. Over 3,900 attendees and guests enjoyed exploring the new aquarium, viewing the wildlife and dancing to the energetic sounds of the band Shimmer.

SECO International 2006 course attendance has been reported to OE Tracker and CE Broker. OE Tracker, designed and operated by the Association of Regulatory Boards of Optometry (ARBO), allows optometrists to know their continuing education (CE) renewal status and outstanding hours needed to renew their license(s). They also will be able to view their continuing education renewal status and their continuing education reported by CE providers. Please view your OE Tracker file to verify your SECO International attendance has been reported properly. To view your renewal status and reported CE go to www.arbo.org. SECO could only report the attendance of doctors who supplied SECO with their OE tracker number. If you failed to provide SECO your OE tracker number or if your attendance information needs correcting ARBO can record or correct your attendance information. Just fax a copy of your SECO verification of attendance forms to the attention of Debbie Kuehner at ARBO. The fax number is (314) 785-6002.

The CE Broker system is the Florida Department of Health continuing education tracking database. Course completions submitted to CE Broker ( www.cebroker.com ) will be used to determine that licensees have met their continuing education requirements at the end of the effective license renewal period. Please check CE Broker to ensure your CE has been reported correctly. CE Broker also permits self reporting so you will be able to make any needed corrections while reviewing your credits. Please remember that the paper verification of attendance you received as you exited the courses you attended at SECO International 2006 is the official and ultimate proof of your attendance. This verification of attendance is required to correct any electronic attendance records. SECO strongly recommends you keep your verification of attendance slips in your permanent records.
