LAST-MINUTE TIPS FOR SECO 2005 LATE COMERS

Did you not pre-register for SECO 2005? Still interested? Join us at the Georgia World Congress Center February 23-27, 2005, for SECO International 2005. In addition to one of the best education programs in optometry, SECO is also reknowned for having the most successful Exhibit Hall in the industry. Here are some last minute tips for prospective attendees:
1. If you plan on staying in Atlanta, call ahead to secure your hotel reservations. Hotels fill up quickly in the downtown area, so avoid problems by reserving a room ahead of time.
2. If you plan on driving to Atlanta, make sure you have a map of the downtown area to navigate.
3. If you are interested in the continuing education program, be prepared to register for education and select alternative educational courses. Know what courses you want to take, and be familiar with your licensing requirements; have alternate courses in mind if primary courses are unavailable. 4. If you are interested in the Exhibit Hall, check our Virtual Exhibit Hall to see who's exhibiting and where. Know what booths you want to visit and why, be prepared to use your time wisely and efficiently.
SECO CD-ROM DOES IT ALL

SECO will replace the official program with a comprehensive CD-ROM. This CD-ROM will contain everything you need to know about SECO International 2005. Course handouts, congress information, volunteer acknowledgement and more are available at the touch of your fingertips. The CD-ROM will be mailed to all pre-registrants in early February; SECO will also have CDs available on-site for attendees.

SECO encourages you to use this CD to prepare for your trip to Atlanta by printing your course handouts, reviewing important information, and checking out what's hot for 2005!
ASK THE EXPERTS AT SECO 2005

Ask the Experts is back and better than ever. Need a "second opinion" or have a particular question begging to be answered? There's now a resource available for you at SECO International 2005! SECO has assembled five professionals who are considered experts in their particular profession to counsel with attendees in 20 to 30 minute private, confidential sessions. These sessions are designed to help you understand complex issues facing your practice and best of all - SECO is providing this service for free. Look for the following topics available for expert opinion at SECO 2005:

1. Finance and taxes
2. Human resources and personnel management
3. Legal: contracts, leasing, and real estate matters
4. Medicare issues
5. Marketing and ethical promotion

Appointments will be required to assure you of quality time to discuss your issues with our experts. Simply stop by SECO Central and reserve an appointment or, if a time is open, go right in. Sessions are free to all attendees registered to attend SECO and are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Ask the Experts is available during Exhibit Hall hours.

The purpose of DGR is to create a library of grand rounds that optometrists can research to improve their diagnostic skills. If you are interested in submitting a DGR of your own, you can submit your material online. Who knows, maybe your case will make it into Digital Grand Rounds!
