ACE 2005 IN BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND

Need a vacation? Need continuing education credit for your licensure? Combine your needs and attend ACE 2005 in Birmingham, England, April 15-17, 2005. ACE 2005 will feature top UK and US speakers presenting COPE-approved education. Need more persuasion? Optrafair, one of Europe's largest optometric tradeshows, will run the 16-18 in the NEC next to ACE 2005. Still not convinced? Birmingham is located in the central part of the UK and near some of the most scenic areas in England including restored castles and Stratford-Upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. London is only a 2-hour train-ride away as well.

Every year, thousands of optometrists and allied professionals visit the Exhibit Hall to see the latest products, services, and equipment, do business, and meet with sales reps to sicuss practrice needs. In fact, surveys indicate that attendees are serious professionals that are interested in doing business. Here are some highlights for this year's hall:

New Products Network
SECO 2005 will be the second year for our hugely successful New Products Network. NPN is a news channel targeting SECO attendees; broadcast live, NPN carries information and product showcases of the very latest and best in SECO's Exhibit Hall. NPN is a great avenue to see the latest exhibiting companies have to offer!

X-Labs
The X-Labs is back with more new secrets to reveal. Seven of optometry's top companies will spill their secrets on the latest products, services, and technologies. Come see more of the latest in the industry in a vibrant and enegetic format!

Portrait Studio
Got a few spare minutes? Foster & Associates photography will perform portrait photographs for attendees visiting the Exhibit Hall. Professional photos with be available for purchase and complimentray photos will be sent free of charge to participants.

My Favorite Practice
Its difficult to find time to visit optometric practices in your neighborhood, let along the Southern region. SECO has put together three more practices for SECO 2005 to demonstrate unique approaches to a successful practice.

REVIEW OF OPTOMETRY TO PUBLISH SECO SHOW DAILY

SECO International announces that Jobson's Review of Optometry magazine will produce the official SECO Show Daily at its February 23-27, 2005 education conference and exhibit in Atlanta. The publication will feature a "Live News" section that includes up-to-date information aout the congress' daily events.

Working in conjunction with SECO, Review of Optometry will publish "The SECO Daily" and distribute several thousand copies each day the exhibit hall is open (February 24th through 26th). The new format publication will feature an 8-page, on-site section reporting on current SECO news, education, and exhibitor activities. In addition to up-to-the-minute show reports, The SECO Daily will also include more than 20 pages of pre-show coverage of news, products, and show information (including advertising opportunities for SECO Show exhibitors).

"SECO International is pleased to be working in conjunction with Review of Optometry to provide our attendees and exhibitors with expanded show information," states Jim Vrac, SECO's executive director. "The exciting 'Live News' section will also enable everyone to read about on-site events and activities on a daily basis."
MONTHLY ROUNDS
Test your diagnostic skills and see how quickly you can answer the question.

The purpose of DGR is to create a library of grand rounds that optometrists can research to improve their diagnostic skills. If you are interested in submitting a DGR of your own, you can submit your material online. Who knows, maybe your case will make it into Digital Grand Rounds!
