Governing StructureThe
Board of Trustees comprises of elected volunteers entrusted with managing the
organization. Elected officers of the Executive Committee conduct the day-to-day
business of the Southern Council of Optometrists between meetings of the full
Board of Trustees. The House of Delegates elects the Officers each year in February
in Atlanta at the annual congress. Officers serve a term of one year. Additionally,
SoCO has committees to divide tasks and administrative duties among volunteers
